Custom Commission

Interested in a custom piece?

I would love to work with you to create your very own fiber-based wish for the future, prayer of gratitude, or maybe a spell for remembering softness, awe, healing, or protection.

Each custom order starts and ends with you - I am the vessel in between. Made with intention and love, designing and sewing custom orders is one of the most meaningful practices I have because it is so very personal to You.

  • You are able to submit a custom order request through the form below. I only accept custom orders for pieces that are my own patterns and designs. You will hear within 1-2 weeks whether or not I am able to accept your project and will respond with any additional questions and a quote.

We will then work together to design your dream piece. You will receive a digital mockup for your custom order. This is a digital sketch made on a computer - your final design will, of course, be made of fabric which means that the colors and final design may vary slightly different than the mockup. I try to be as close to the mockup as possible, but variations in how things work out in real life and when cutting fabric, especially while minimizing fabric waste, are to be expected.

Once the design and quote are approved, I will send you an invoice for the piece. Full payment is due at that time. Once paid, your order will be added to the queue.

Production time for custom orders is between 6-9 weeks.

  • Custom pieces include but are not limited to:

    • fiber art

    • dresses

    • tops

    • vests

    • jackets

    • robes/dusters

    • tunics

    • kerchiefs

    • home décor such as pillow-cases or bedspreads

All of these are available in custom color combinations.

Dresses, tops, and tunics are available in custom sleeve lengths.

For inspiration and reference of the types of pieces I can make, check out the Thread + Sprout Archives or browse the below gallery :)

  • Pricing is determined by the complexity of the design, the amount of time it will take, and the materials.

Prices will vary depending on the piece and design but for “nature pieces” with curved color blocking on average the prices start around:

    • Pillowcases: $60 - 80

    • Kerchiefs: $50 - 80

    • Short sleeve shirts: $145-190

    • Long sleeve shirts: $165 - $200

    • Tunics: $220 - $300

    • Dresses (with gathered skirt) : $325 - $475

    • Shift dress (no gathered skirt): $245-350

    • Jackets (Custom order only): $600 - $1000

    • Magic Vests: $400-600

    • Wall hangings and quilts: $400 - $2000+

Pieces that do not have as many curved color-blocking sections or are painted may be lower than this.

Adding appliqué details or hand stitching increases the cost.

“Scrappy patchy” made with pieced patchwork are more because of the amount of time and labor they require (they range between $275-400 for tops and $550-800 for dresses).

That being said, if you have a budget in mind, let me know and I can work with you to come up with a design within that budget.

    **All prices are in USD.**

**Custom orders are now available in the USA, Canada, and internationally! Please enter your location in the form below. International custom orders will be processed and shipped differently than those in the US and Canada. For more information - check out the FAQs page.
