Welcome

Hi, I’m Justice!

I’m a Colorado-born, Bay Area–based fiber artist, movement teacher, and creative guide. Above all, I am a human being. I feel things deeply, I try to do my best every day, and I am constantly learning, changing, and growing. My creative practice is a part of me. It is how I express myself and get to know myself, it is how I practice presence and listening to my intuition, and it is how I try to make sense of the world around me and do what I can to contribute to the better world I believe is possible.

My work lives at the intersection of craft, mindfulness, and magic — a place where making is more about the process than the outcome. Over the years, I’ve discovered that creativity flourishes when it’s nurtured from multiple angles: skill-building, embodied movement, intentional pauses, and community connection. Everything I offer is built around these ideas.

I believe creativity should feel nourishing — not pressured, rushed, or perfection-driven. My classes, membership, and resources are invitations to slow down, listen in, and discover the joy of making something that’s truly yours.

Whether you join me for a workshop, roll out your mat for Movement for Makers, or become part of Gathered Threads, my goal is the same: to help you grow your creative skills and keep your practice vibrant for years to come.

  • Sometimes!

Thread + Sprout was previously primarily a business where I made things and then sold those things.

As I have changed, so has my business.

At this time, I am currently not focusing on making things to sell. However, I may occasionally accept custom orders or do a small shop update of ready-to-ship items :) Sign up for emails if you want to know when these things might happen!

  • Yes! Please do! I love when people are inspired by me and/or my work to make things themselves.

That being said, please do not make things directly inspired by my work to sell or profit off of. I do offer a few patterns and tutorials for making your own Thread + Sprout inspired things - please check them out!

You can also join me in a class or workshop!

  • YES!

I believe we are all creatives and makers in some way or another. Even if you don’t feel that way. The creative spark is in us all, and sometimes it just needs a little nourishing and a little coaxing - maybe Gathered Threads or Movement for Makers will be the place for that!

  • Great question! I have created a handy lil’ free guide with the tips + info I think are essential for any one who is “sewing curious”.
