finding flow

In Movement for Makers, we gather for yoga, breathwork, and guided meditation, specifically designed for creatives. These practices are designed to ease the aches of long studio sessions, soften tension, and clear mental clutter — so you can return to your creative work grounded, open, and inspired.

I believe that when we are centered in ourselves and rooted in our bodies, it becomes easier for creativity to flow through us. Stuckness is part of the process — but trying to think your way out rarely works. Movement helps us find our way through.

movement + creativity for everyone

These classes are for you if you: have a body and use that body.

You do not need to consider yourself a maker or a creative to join these classes! We are all inherently creative. We all make something. Sometimes we create paintings or clothes, and sometimes we develop lesson plans or prepare dinner for our families. The creative spark is in us all - we are all born with it, we all have it as kids, and even when it feels dim as we get older, it is still there. Moving mindfully and joyfully and getting centered in our bodies can be one pathway to help re-ignite that creative spark!

meet yourself where you are

These classes are online through a video call - you can come as you are, from the comfort of your home, with video on or off. Each class includes a 55-minute hatha vinyasa yoga flow, integrated with pranayama (breathwork) and short guided meditations.

Together, we will:

~ ground into the body, stretch sore muscles + practice alignment
~ build strength, meet ourselves with compassion + explore edges with curiosity
~ connect to the breath, attune to the present + settle the mind

I can't say enough about Justice's online Yoga class! The flow was easy to follow and perfectly tailored to my needs. I was two days overdue with my third child when I took the class, and I believe the practice helped me go into labor the very next day. This class was exactly what I needed at a crucial time. Highly recommend!

As an artist (painter/sculptor) I found Justice's class to be exactly what I needed. Not only did she target tight and stuck spots in my body, it unconsciously impacted my sense of being "stuck" in my head. It was good to take a little time for me and my art practice has benefited as well!!

Yoga + Me

I have been practicing yoga since I was a freshman in high school, when my mom started taking me to help with chronic hip pain and anxiety. Since then it has been a regular part of my life. Practicing yoga is a large part of my creative process - from helping me to ease the pain of a long day at the sewing machine to calming my mind when the thoughts start to race. I received my 200hr Yoga Teacher Training from Folk Yoga SF and am certified with the Yoga Alliance.

Thank you for being here! I am excited to meet you on the mat.

xoxo
