Abundance

A quilted wall hanging made of linen and cotton thread with appliqué cow skull and a bright sun behind it. The Norse Rune "Fehu" (which is stitched in the bottom left corner) represents "livestock" but more often than not "cow" and is a symbol for wealth, abundance and prosperity. It often is used as a symbol for a wish of good fortune for another.

19.5” x 24"

Materials: linen fabric, cotton batting, cotton thread, wood dowel and cotton rope for hanging

This wall quilt is made of fabric scraps - little leftover pieces from other projects that are too small to be used for other clothes. Fabric scraps that could have very easily ended up in the trash. But instead, they are joined together to make something beautiful. A little reminder, that every little thing can be, and often is, part of something bigger and beautiful. And for me, and maybe for you too, a gentle reminder that even if I feel like a useless little scrap, I too am part of something bigger and beautiful that I might not be able to see yet.
