Shedding Skins
A quilted wall hanging featuring a snake covered in runes, a sun and moon and bird in opposite corners. Meant to serve as a prayer to allow for necessary change, to honor the cycles of life and the seasons, and to shed the skins that no longer fit us.

Materials: linen fabric, cotton batting, cotton thread, wood dowel and cotton rope for hanging
This wall quilt is made of fabric scraps - little leftover pieces from other projects that are too small to be used for other clothes. Fabric scraps that could have very easily ended up in the trash. But instead, they are joined together to make something beautiful. A little reminder, that every little thing can be, and often is, part of something bigger and beautiful. And for me, and maybe for you too, a gentle reminder that even if I feel like a useless little scrap, I too am part of something bigger and beautiful that I might not be able to see yet.
